Exxon has a history of buying and firing. We are better off without them.
Probably best to just ride this one out and wait for economy to improve. You always have to expect ups and downs in the oil business, this is a downer (and aggravated by the upper management).
Exxon is busy closing down refineries and cutting their spending budget. They won't be buying anything anytime soon. Best to jump ship if you can.
