I feel like all these posts about stores closing are from one person. Like don't you have better things to do then keep posting the same things about stores closing today?

Yeah my store in Ohio will be closing. I’ve been with the company 12 years
6 stores in Houston closed, GM’s & DMs were lid off.
Some stores are downsizing.
This is very real.

My store and another store in Dallas are closing. So this is very much real. We got the call this morning. January 31st is our last day of our stores being open. Stop thinking everything is rumors because it’s not. I’ve been with the company for 10 years.. thinking retail was the safest place.. well guess what? I have to either take a severance or apply for telesales and work from home.
IAM here, My director, my DM, and two other people on my team took bullets today.
This isn’t BS people. I just got the call this am and I’ve been with VZ for some years in retail as a GM in the metro Atlanta area.
Yeah this is site is full of sh–, but there IS something happening today. GM was told by DM to stay by his phone and email around 1pm est as some big changes to store function and such are going be announced. Said it could affect us, but also might not too much.
It was very cryptic. But for all the false claims and over exaggeration, something is being announced. I would say just wait until an official announcement and chill the f— out. All the stuff here is rumor and speculation unless you're a DM or higher
There are trolls but not all of the claims are false. If you're in the business and haven't heard of any, you should work on your networking skills.
Doubt it, if they were from the same person site mods would have nuked it. They are a bit slow but they usually spot obvious trolls.
