I believe they are referring to Customer Success, or perhaps Consulting Services(?).

40 staff 'restructured' in CS - Either lay off or internal move. I am gone without offer.
WS and Fusion dev has been moved from Beijing to India. All WS/Fusion dev in Beijing office are affected.
VES BU announced there was a layoff (and re-organization) yesterday and this morning. I think everyone who was impacted as been notified at this point.

Sorry for people losing their job, as someone at VMware for long time, it’s a tough time to see this cycle happening again. I’m checking my email pretty often... :-(
VMware is a great place... very respectful company compared to others. But like every other big company, there are too many managers which mainly prioritize their career goals without caring on having a successful working environment.
There was a comment on another thread that layoffs will continue into next week (as opposed to all being done on a single day as usual) due to HR bandwidth.
Today as well - we had a meeting with director and were warned 1:1 being scheduled over the next few hours with everybody in the team ... This is EMEA and US mixed team.
Or was yesterday it?
