This is why. The Unfair Labor Act prevents private employers from preventing or retaliating against employees that discuss, communicate or attempt to organize a union. Here is your other big learning -complaining and threatening a union on this or any site does absolutely nothing. Just howl in the wind instead.

why would i expose myself to retaliation by bringing this up at the workplace? we both know you cant talk negative at workplace the only way to keep the job is to nod and agree no matter how bad the beatings are.

What are you trying to gain with a union? What positions would be unionized?

What would happen? A lot of jobs would be outsourced or shipped to overseas on contract basis, agents would pick up more of the work, or computer systems would automate. All resulting in less jobs for sf.

Can someone point me to the insurance companies that have unions presently?

More and more people are wanting to unionize. SF has gone through too many cycles of f—ing the employee over. They’re about to pay.

Does anyone think it is odd that people come on an anonymous site and extol the virtues of unions but say and do nothing in the workplace? If you feel strongly about the benefit and are anywhere nearly as upset as you claim what on earth do you have to lose?

Look how scared they are. As soon as union is mumbled they start damage control and disinformation. If it will never happen then why panic? SF had never treated their employees so poorly. Tipsturd is a cancer...like all cancer he needs to be cutout and irradiated. That is removed from leadership. When will SF STOP its false narrative of diversity and inclusion. It takes one move...a black female CEO. It'll never happen because of their white greed.

LOL. The fact that this thread dates back 3 years is hilarious. Unions have been a topic at SF for 25 years. It didn’t happen then and will not now, are employees are not that dumb. The posters are all hat and no cattle.

LOL. This union rumor has literally been around since 1989 or before. The Company, all things being equal, would prefer not to deal with a 3rd party union. But if it ever it comes to pass they will adapt. Not that big of deal. Union demands more company eliminates benefits-it is the way the world works.....

Great. Now we’re wasting time talking about something that isn’t going to happen. And insisting it has to be a prerequisite for something else that isn’t going to happen.
