My life turned upside down in one day.
Couldn’t they wait a little longer instead of doing this to people at the worst time possible?
I’m very worried. I tried job hunting even before this happened but I couldn’t find anything.
UI is certainly helpful, but it is only a temporary solution... It will be very difficult in the coming period.
With the extra $300 UI Federsl boost most people will be making the same, if not more, weekly as they did working for Frys. All but Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers that is.
If the 1.9 trillion package goes through it will be $400 extra.
In my state looking for a job is waived due to Covid19. Research your state’s normal UI total weeks, and some will have extended UI due to Covid19.
Many retailers (who are doing good) pay way more then Frys did for its regular workers. Try Walmart or Target or Best Buy. Even Amazon jobs.
Keep fighting. Change is scary and growth comes with some pain. I am wishing you the best as you go through this!
