Anyone else get the notification email about providing documentation to a contractor company up hired to verify our status and work eligibility? What the hell did we all go through with background checks jumping through hoops pre-employment?

There was a notification on myUP that some employees would be getting that email, they should make sure that their information is correct in their profile, and they would receive information on documentation collection “in the coming months.”
If you received an email like this you should not reply and report it to HR. Contractors have no need to see any documentation on UP employees ever. This sounds like an attempt to steal your personal data and possible identity theft.
Let's hope so!
Are they going to deport Vena?
Do not give any information over the phone or email, EVER!
I never got any email asking about that, but that's an odd question to be asking. If you were hired by the UP, then you're obviously legal to work in the states. I wouldn't give any personal information to any contractor regarding your legal work status. Any employee that receives an email like that should consider that spam. If they want personal information like that, then that needs to be done IN PERSON! Ever heard of phishing?
Jumping through hoops?
Company: let’s see a couple of these documents proving you can legally work in the USA. (Shows poster a list.)
Poster: WHAT?! DANG THAT’S REALLY HARD!!!
They need an email address so they can keep you up to date on your car warranty thats about to expire!
