"consistent, sound analysis" have to give it to him that he's good at hustling, but dumb af. AH was clearly in on it. I wonder what her cut was from that $600k month?
"Hebert’s competitors have access to the same bot software and StockX-borne real-time market research as he does. What they don’t have, according to some of his subscribers, is consistent, sound analysis of what shoes to buy, how to get them, and, crucially, how long resellers might expect demand to persist. Hebert declined to talk about his sources of information, but he did say he was lucky to have grown up in Portland, where both Nike and Adidas base their U.S. operations"
so a 19-year old figured out how to move product and generate revenue but the entire Valiant Labs team can't?
Nike is a joke
Haha haha haha. Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!
Picture of hundreds and hundreds of shoeboxes...
The more I learn about this the worse it gets.
Look at the “brobible” article posted today. The link won’t correctly post here for some reason but that article had some good pics.
Good ol’ Joe had literally thousands of pairs of shoes stacked up on the family deck. And that didn’t ring alarm bells with anyone???
Likewise the rare pairs of Mags that Joe mysteriously “found” in a storage unit??? LOL! That’s like me mysteriously “finding” my paycheck in my bank account. “Hey, how’d that get in there!”
Poor Joe is going to be grounded tonight and sent to his room! Pro tips, Joe: When calling a reporter make sure your phone doesn’t display your mother’s name. Likewise when sending that same reporter Amex statements to prove what a baller you are, make sure those same statements don’t show your mother as the account owner.
Whatever the case multiple people here exhibited extremely poor judgement.
Corruption all around and it starts at the top!! Nothing...nothing shocks me anymore
So how many other executives knew this was going on and thought this was okay? It's not just Ann...
Has a shareholder derivatives suit been filed yet?
Once the seven-figure retirement package runs dry, Joe will have to bring home the bacon.
Gonna be awkward AF at that family dinner table tonight. Good luck west coast Joe.
Wow I am shocked but also should not be. She is one of many tbh that is doing this. Sounds like product that the van couldn’t sell ended up w her son... Gentry/Jordan brand is a similar story.
It's just been announced that AH has stepped down.
Alternate storyline if POC: A young teen and parent were arrested for purchasing stolen** Nike product used to fund a Reselling business operated out of a local Portland warehouse. The business was financially bootstrapped by the teens parent, a now-former Nike exectutive. The teen used insider knowledge and family discounts to purchase product and resell at high margins. The teen also thwarted consumers out of high energy Nike releases using bots on the popular SNKRS app. They are held without bail and awaiting their day in court.
What we actually got: Young hustler redefines the gig economy in the era of COVID.
**Unless we have receipts those Air Mags were stashed away by an employee. That was Nike property, stolen property, and used to stand that business up. But again, it’s all about the color of which you see...
So if his mom gets fired, will Nike also look into cutting ties with Marcus Jordan for backdooring all his Trophy Room 1’s? Lol
If the employee that had a kid selling product online was a V, A, L, U, or even E band...they would be fired.
It would be interesting to know if the board of directors would support the ELT decision on how to handle this situation.
Having serious regrets that I put the fear of God in my teenage nephews. "Don't you EVER, LIKE EVER even think you might resell that NIKE Christmas gift I gave you. Just kidding. They never would have done that to me. I have no regrets for behaving ethically.
To anyone asked by a leader how they feel DO NOT GIVE A RESPONSE. You risk putting yourself in a vulnerable position. ELT has made their decision. Your opinion doesn’t change anything except expose yourself.
The question you need to ask yourself is do your MORALS and VALUES align with Nikes actions. Not what they say. You wanted to work at Nike, welcome to Nike.
Oh yeah, have fun on that Monday Zoom.
95% of Article: Kid ripping off sneaker culture
Last 5%: Mom is Nike VP of North America.
So happy I got laid off...well, besides the whole no job part.
Quick! Get this kid a black badge ASAP. I’m sure there an ETW he can head-count leap-frog on his path to becoming one of your managers in 4 years.
It is his birthright!
@1mni ...and why did he ask for his mom not to be identified if Nike OK'd everything in 2018, and then cease all communication. Hmm.
If there’s nothing to see here why’s his face blurred in all his Instagram pics @west.coast.streetwear and what’s with the sunglasses inside your warehouse on the YT video LOL
HR, it’s your turn to show us what’s inside the lines. We’re sharing this articles with our colleagues, teams, black badge friends )m(and soon family to make a buck??), how Nike HR and execs respond will become the new precedent. Fam reselling with family swoosh discounts is now legal? Coooool can’t wait to share with my fam who’s struggling thanks to covid.
That youtube video is crazy. His Instagram channel shows how much he stored at what appears to be the VP house.
Moves warehouse to Portland (closer to company store), admits to buying vapormaxes at DEEP discounts, entire inventory is from product that sits at the company store for weeks (big give away is those adapts). These kids are just buying from the Company Store daily and reselling LOL. Also sick Nike mask bro Mama VP came through on that one.
Guys, use this site to express your opinions, but please don’t abuse it. Check the site’s rules, personal insults, slander and impersonating others is not allowed here, site mods could nuke the whole thread because of it.
There are ways to criticize someone’s work without using insults.
DO THE RIGHT THING and fire her a– not some corporate a– apology email no one buys.
Lol. Was told to check this out and glad I did. Now that i had a few beers and it’s anonymous lol.
So in 2019 I got fired aka “my contract not extended after 4 years of being false promises a black badge (head count opening soon lolzz!)”.
Reason which I think (I mean know...)? I was a bystander to someone else’s reselling.
I have a much better job now where I’m not strung along for years, but still.... WTF. Sweet VALUES (S ONLY).
Completely and utterly shameless....
I know of employees who got fired for so much less than this; buying 5 or so pairs of shoes! Welcome to HR and ER double standards, folks!!
Yea you telling me she never dropped a hint of Jordan shock drops to her son......ok Ann. Typical Nike LT do as I say not as I do. Could you imagine if an L bands spouse had something like this going?!?!?! FIRED ON THE SPOT
woah woah, the article with our VP being the Mom at the end.
She thought this was okay for years??? Of course she did! It's NIKKKKEEEEEE.
Something must be done.
Curious to know what she disclosed in 2018 and if that's accurate today...
Nike standing behind 'no violation of policy' when a VP is financially associated with a reseller business is disgusting at best. If Bloomberg has information of Amex statements with AH's name she's tied in financially. Which means she is connected to possible debt carried by WCS. This would never impact her actions and judgment in her son's favor. But again, this aligns with Nike (leadership) values and culture. So...nothing to see here, move along.
The 'abandoned' storage unit with Air Mags is a great story. This is when his privilege and access to information shines. He clearly has connections to employees with access to energy promo orders. Product is always 'lost' in a storage unit around town. That's a scheme for another thread (see Mohawk man discussion for other creative illegal ideas). It's great to see AH's son start his hustle with buying stolen property that was 'lost'.
For $250 a month a privileged white teen with an executive parent will teach you about hustling in the sneaker business 🥴
In the end, AH shows a massive lapse in judgement and ethics. The company operates in a double standard when it comes to leadership actions. In a post-CDA era this is a leader everyone deserves. Nike is morally bankrupt.
Wow is allI can say... absolutely not "Inside the Lines"
LOL Nike barely trusts ETWs to get discounts but allows a VPs family member to run a reselling business ok
