i am a legal us resident. i have worked for up for nine years and haven’t heard anything about this
I'll consider filling it out when my manager comes to me about it.
This is alarming. We don’t work for third party and we all had to submit info when hired. Why would we have to give to third party now? Not enough information being given by UPRR.
Legal status can change for non-citizens who were hired on a work visa. They could very well have hired in legally, but now have to prove they are still legal, without anybody in HR having had taken a shortcut.
I'm not going to question of whether or not the email is real. If it is real, then this should be big red flag to every employee. When you applied for a job at the UP, then you had to be verified then. If you're illegally working in the states for the UP, then WHO didn't do their job??? We can save the UP employment standards argument for a different posting. Did the UP cut corners in the employment department to fill positions?
No the OP missed the point.
This is nothing. Stop stressing about stupid stuff.
I-9s have been around since the Reagan administration. So much ado about nothing.
Nobody cares
