The audit team at my club extends their work flow all day. They are done by 9 am, sometimes 10, pretend to keep busy by walking the floor with reports on hand, as if they can’t find the product/item and do the recount again to waste time in order not to be sent to other departments to help out. It is constant and obvious. Member of management does nothing.
audit team will not be brought back. Without audit team, home office can change club inventory levels without anyone really noticing. Pull a generator this week, a pressure washer next week, a bottle or two of liquor every other day. Before you know it, the club's shrink is high and your Sam's share is cut. In reality, the company hasn't lost any money. Winning formula for HO another loss for the poor store level associates.
There have been many that lost over a million one year. Then 700,000 the next.
