How certain can we be that tomorrow's layoffs will not affect anybody in the US? Call me paranoid, but Exxon has been really trigger happy lately when it comes to layoffs and I'm worried something might be coming our way as well. I'm not trying to start any rumors since I didn't hear anybody mention anything about more layoffs, but I'd lie if I said I wasn't worried.

Headcount reductions in high cost
Locations have not been met. If you haven’t heard the target you will be shocked at how high it is. It was planned before COVID. COVID actually turned out to be the perfect Trojan horse for management. They are all laughing at how well COVID worked out as a scapegoat to blame for the layoffs they were already planning.
Thousands have lost jobs in EM across Europe and USA, now I'm sorry to say it's your turn.
I don't know about the headquarter perception, but they do know,
we here in the Falklands are having a slow time bringing the penguin colony up to speed.
These are quite agile, but a bit resistant to EM's pecking order system.
But - for a pound of herring a day - you can't beat the costs!
This might delay further US layoffs for the short-term.
Singapore indeed is an expensive site, most of us are aware at headquarters. It's a tough decision.
