Does anyone have more information about the layoffs in May? Someone mentioned that it would probably be sometime after the Magellan acquisition. I have heard a lot of rumors about it, but nothing concrete. I wonder how many people could be laid off at that point?
There is now only one constant in Centene and that is uncertainty.

My thoughts exactly to the previous reply. HR gives zero sh*ts.
Centene does do layoffs in the summer. I was part of hundreds that were laid off last June and July. Just like all the other comments the employees affected were longtime historical staff with knowledge and probably slightly higher pay. Leaving behind lower paid staff just hired with no knowledge, experience and less pay. You cannot trust anything “leadership or HR” says!

I have witnessed a whole team being laid off during the month of June. I am from legacy Centene and so were they.
No layoffs in May. That is way to close for summertime and HR and Senior Management like to enjoy the summer off without dealing with all the paperwork associated with layoffs.
Besides, 6 percent is a lot of work to process over the next few months.
Most likely in Sept to Nov time frame.
Very rare to see layoffs during summer months. And it is done so senior management can enjoy those months.
