Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

What else is hidden?

After the ugly scandals that surface, I always wonder what else is there that is hidden? Big secrets we may never find out, happening somewhere behind the smoke and mirrors?
There are certainly a lot of worse stories than the current one. Maybe we’ll find out more soon, who knows.
On the other hand, the less dirt I know, the better I feel.

Lots hiding in global football, where Nike athletes can s-xually attack our teammates with zero recourse. And let’s all pat ourselves on the back knowing we bought another great ad to celebrate women’s day. Meanwhile female Nike leaders k–l the career of women who speak up. What a complete joke. Good thing our head of legal and hr hate each other, only room for one ego to win that inevitable contest.

I was an ETW in Global Basketball 2015-17. I was treated like garbage. If there were open, full-time jobs on the team, it ALWAYS went to a friend of someone on the team.

There was a job I was very qualified for that I applied to. I was quickly told that maybe I should look for another role because they had someone they liked already.

The person they liked already? I later found out he was told by the hiring manger to have a creative agency do his interview project because he was too busy. That agency told me he put some of MY WORK in the presentation... WHILE I DID HIS JOB because he was too "busy preparing for his interview."

Most corrupt BS I have ever seen.

I recently bought some VERY limited promo Nike items off ebay. The auction location was listed as Florida. I was (and wasn't) surprised when I saw the item shipped from Beaverton...

I could not find anything related to the name on the return label on Google, so I looked up the tax records from the return address. Turns out, a former (I think former) Nike Director was offloading a massive collection of promo items through someone else's eBay account. That account is known on social media as a "plug" to exclusive Nike items. I wonder how this former Nike Director found this random eBayer... I wonder how many times over the years he used this person to sell items for him. I wonder what else he was too afraid to put on eBay.

I bet we all know at least one thing. I’ll go first.

Nike misrepresents diversity numbers. Retail is POCs who make low hourly wages. Non-retail is higher paid and overwhelming white. They aggregate the 2 to hide it then claim majority minority
