Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Quality?

PZ harped on this recently as a key success factor for AIG.
I wonder if this applies to IT vendors as well now composing half or more of all people in technology. View I see is total lack of coordination between groups, and the vendors seem to have undue influence over senior management.

Totally agree with the poster that AIG is an atm for executives, their friends family and business partners....At least on the non L&R pieces....

Leadership is not good, so they hire high paid consultants a bunch of money for fancy ppt decks that they reuse over and over again with each of their clients. Real executives aren’t impressed by these “shiny items”, they actually look for substance....Bob B knew that. Current lead, not so much

everyone knows aig is an atm for executive friends, family and business partners. no one cares so why should you? just keep collecting a paycheck and do so using minimal effort. win, win!
