Tall white guys are welcome, blonde women next, if you're a previously hired minority you might be tolerated especially if you discriminate yourself against minorities.

Someone got the memo. Recent hire is not a tall white guy or blond white woman. Damage control amirite?
Others are just lazy ? That explains the lack of diversity? Wow.
Original post was an attack on a group because others are just lazy
Love the comment about “more qualified candidates” at a company that’s a giant circle of mediocrity and dinosaurs. Half the people are barely doing anything in their “e-work” roles.
Everyone below senior executives get treated like c-ap, stop whining
Treat your diversity like dirt and demotivate them, then wonder why they don't display any talent. Right on.
There needs to be diversity of thought, the last few years AIG has been terrible at attracting, developing, and retaining the right talent......there is plent my of diversity outside of Leadership, but the talent is terrible but still “diverse”
This post is so true. Diversity is a joke. There is no diversity at AIG. They have a few tokens they parade out when needed.
To the poster who suggests that there need to be more qualified people, perhaps you don't know what the lower level actuarial department looks like, and what previous leadership looked like. Minorities are definitely allowed to do the work. They just have to know their place.
Maybe there need to be more qualified people in other demographic groups? Or even better, look to develop talent to move up?
I doubt the recent board member appointment will make a difference. Most if not all of the BoD are in PZ's pocket.
Chief actuaries: we'll ignore you most of the time, then try to put you on the spot during meetings to show how much smarter we are.
We definitely aren't interested in the rank and file's opinions. We'll agree with you once or twice a year as a token. If we do ask your opinion, you better respond immediately with only one or two sentences that somehow capture all the nuances. We'll then bark out your marching orders as if we are generals in a war. Once the decision has been announced, do not question it.
