If you are 55 yrs old and worked there 10+ years, you better think strongly about taking your pension and RUN!!!! The pension benefit will be the first to go, and it could go penny for a dollar. It will not be pro employee.

I belong to this group of people and I would not be surprised if someone mentioned it on one of the threads below. I have heard from someone before that it is quite certain that soon there will be no more pension benefits.

Exactly. No one will have benefits taken away. Pension benefits will remain intact for those who are already vested in them. Stop making up shiz.
It is highly highly highly highly unlikely the benefits already earned will be taken away. NEW additions to the plans for future work may be reduced or eliminated. The original poster is severely ill informed or a fear mongerer
