What does the future hold for us legacy DTV techs? This company continues to treat us the sh*t, now we have to try and build up our brand and probably be tossed out like garbage!

Maybe some can come over to the IP Side and become legacy Prem Tech's?. I would definitely ask the union if it's possible.
The sale to TPG Capital won't close until 3rd quarter of this year. The "promise" is TPG will keep things as they are for 1 year - same as when D was bought by T. So at a minimum, you guys are good for at least 18 to 19 months. For Techs - your deadline will be the day your Union contract expires - then things will get interesting.
If you are smart, start chatting up your customers for where they work and what possible opportunities they can hook you up with. Think outside this rapidly shrinking box.
Pay down your debts, stash some cash and plan your escape because this train will hit the end of its track within the next 3 years and you need to be off by that time.

Our L2 says that the company is looking into training us DTV serfs to repair TVs and Large Appliances.
So now, when you finish that Movers Order, you can also fix their washing machine!
After all, nothing says "professional AV Technician" quite like s—ing the lint out of a dryer hose.
I draw the line at cleaning windows for what that will be worth.
