ATTENTION SENIOR MANAGEMENT: Employee Recognition Day

I am sure you don't realize this, but telling managers to acknowledge their appreciation for their staff today DOES NOT make their staff feel appreciated. It just makes YOU look like out of touch id–ts. If you wanted employees to feel appreciated, you wouldn't have slashed the merit pool in half.

@1xuk+19IZPfyu, so am I and I regret wasting all the years I spent there and bypassing oppurtunties elsewhere. Best thing that happened to me was putting me out of my misery.

Really wish we were in the office for employee appreciation day. I miss standing in line for a half hour for a stale cookie/ice cream sandwich. Now all we get is a short video from senior management saying we are appreciated... if they really appreciated us then maybe we should have got something other than a 0% merit increase. Just a thought.

My team observed my Manager sending emails 2 level up Executive Comittee, " Under your Guidance and Leadership we are doing great in BNY Mellon. Here's appreciating you on Employee appreciation day" and sending accross team as FYI post sending an email to our team making our team feel like this isn't just Employee appreciation day. You don't have to feel special .It is just Manager's have been given orders from above to appreciate us on this day .
