"Dear HR department;
Fire all current managers and supervisors. Start there and this company may still have a chance. Meanwhile we will just continue and sit back and laugh and soak up all that sweet sweet mandatory overtime while doing absolutely nothing. Btw, the managers don't even notice..... "
HR doesn't notice either. They embrace the fools who are supervisors and managers. It's called being promoted into incompetence. L3 Grand Rapids was notorious for this. I've also heard that there were a few who had some more creative ways of 'getting a job by giving a job', so that's probably something HR won't bother with either. It was supposedly a bit of a quiet little scandal once upon a time. I wouldn't know. I don't need to fixate on those sorts of things. They are more concerned with walking around and being nosy just to act like they are working on something. Gossip is their end game. They see the same people standing in the hallways day after day doing nothing and they actually join them just to stand around and talk about nonsense... that's IF you are not an hourly employee. Otherwise, you had better be at your desk non-stop. (Oh, and your supervisor will change her policy on this frequently, with her grasshopper head on a swivel, because she cannot manage a department if she tried.) If they fired all of the managers and supervisors, L3 actually might have people show up who weren't sick to their stomachs every day and could work in peace. There would be actual work getting done by those who have a work ethic. Customers might actually get their paid for orders. It wouldn't be the daily lie fest and oral arguing on who is supposed to do what in a five hour long lunch meeting for those managers who still don't have a clue on what a purchase order even looks like.
