Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Morale is so bad

It's like living a bad dream. I have absolutely no motivation and still find it hard to accept how devastated this company is. I used to come to work smiling, and now... I can barely stand it. What about you?
The job is very hard to find, at least for me. At first I had some hopes, but now I’m slowly realizing it's a lost cause.

Agreed, the last 5 years was brutal. So toxic! The revolving door policy was in full swing. Good people would come in and then wake up and discover that Sea World was a complete sh– show and circus. I spent 25 years of my life there, being furloughed and then terminated was the best thing that happened. I started my own business, it was slow at first but now I have a net income of 5-6 thousand per month. I'm in the pest control business. 20% discount for all present and past employees of Sea World!! Thanks so much S.R, S.N., M.S and the rest of the Evil Galactic Empire, life is 1000 X better.

So true on the resume comment. SEA's reputation in the industry is one step above dog s**t. Especially in Orlando. Fun Spot and Gatorland are held in higher esteem. What a sad, sorry place its turned into. Yes...I'm bitter. Worked there for 20 years. Best of luck if you are still there. I know how it feels because you love what it was. That's what made me stay too long.

Listing SeaWorld on your resume, once a badge of honor, is now a curse. Even SeaWorld won’t hire Ex-SeaWorld employees.

People just assume you can move from job to job in instant and with no backup plan in between and you should never say anything bad while working at a place you don't like anymore. Kinda sad that even remotely how it works especially with recent times.

Anyways it echos what I've heard from friends who are still there and it's kinda sad how when I was there I always heard the good ol day descriptions from those in the ab days, now even the pre public days would be great compared to now.
