C'mon people, you're acting like somebody is forcing you to stay. It was never easier to find a new job than now! Just be willing to change field/industry. You have so many options for remote positions all over the country - something that was never an option before. If you're not making the best of such an opportunity, that's on you.

@ttg: the unemployment rate in Portland for those with a 4-year degree is below 5%. The OP is correct. The job market is actually pretty healthy right now.
Ya there is no better time than during a global pandemic to job hunt. You must be a senior director to make this much sense.
It's like telling someone to leave this country if they don't like the President and the policies. Some of us cannot just pick up and leave.
