I don’t like when anyone gets laid off, we’re all just part of a big machine, but for some reason I think that Cenovus and most of us would breathe easier if a lot of those from HR were fired. Most of them are one big burden to this company. Ever since I started working here, it seems to me that HR has never been a very useful department to anyone, neither the company nor the employees.

They need HR to deal with all the layoffs, but their day will come.
They'll get their day. HR will likely will be the last group to see cuts.
It's ironic that a company that cares so little for its human capital spends so much on HR.

The lowest form of human life is the HR Business Partner.
And they are so many of them that are level F senior specialists. That means they are all paid a managers salary. They’ve always looked after themselves nicely that’s for sure.
