Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

I am okay with that. But then let’s drop all this useless talk about team building and culture. If you want to just call this a job I can get onboard with that but then let’s stop the rest of the BS and ditch the development plans, PAs, any talk of team and culture and be honest and just call it what it is. A pay check until you find something better or get laid off. At least that would be honest

Some great advice from your friendly HR team member. Whatever. Cenovus should take some responsibility and own up to the fact that they have carried out ten rounds of layoffs. That’s 10 times we have had to sit down in front of our computers and wait for the knock on the door or call on Teams. Every year since 2012 these dirtbags have stressed out employees and their families to an unhealthy extent. Yes layoffs happen but NOT EVERY YEAR SOMETIMES TWICE A YEAR since 2012. That shows how useless our management is, not a reflection of our inability to adapt.

Name one other company that has a record like that.

Now the employees look forward to another year of being laid off at anytime as they are ongoing to the end of 2021 and our management pockets $30M while congratulating themselves on a job well done.
