I can’t believe how many nike jobs are being posted on LinkedIn. Dark humor that they have had an effective hiring freeze since 2019, then lay so many off and now they are going gang busters hiring. All within a very questionable CDA construct where people in the Geo dont even understand who is supposed to be doing what. Good luck to the new joiners.

Agree. Yes, blindly swinging the axe in terms of people and their performance but totally targeted toward age and payroll. People hired back are at a fraction of those let go both age and $. All of these reorgs are just a cover up. If they aren’t then you have leaders failing at an attempt of a reorg, come on, a company this size should not have a major reorg three years after the last one. Start your countdown now, won’t be long until the next ‘reorg’ has to happen.
This happens every time. Welcome to the re-Org merry-go-round that is Nike. The most respected leader I know at Nike said MP thinks it will take ten years to get the culture back on track! That was during the me too re-org, so maybe seven or so left. But yes, Nike has previously hired back FTE’s they let go into similar roles as ETW, sometimes within a few months. Every Time. My theory why is that they blindly swing the ax on these more significant layoffs, there are good warriors lost. Their loss. Think about how little HR knows about your role. Does your director even understand what you do? How safe does that feel? This place is a joke, and HR k–led what Phil left us.
