Salary references for IT folks

https://www.levels.fyi/Salaries/Software-Engineer/Greater-Houston-Area/

I found this today. It has good information about salary and ranks for IT people from major companies. Houston doesn't have much data compared to other cities but the website still offers good references. ExxonMobil has some but mostly low CL level (23 and below). I guess it's because not many mid-career people at XOM know about this site to report their salaries.

I hope this helps those who are uncertain about what's out there and in doubt of what people have been sharing after they left XOM.

I make so much more by comparison.
Does nobody know about vendor kickbacks to favorite charities?
Wow.

Interesting cloud numbers.

Fact is: EMIT personnel need to take a few steps back (say CL negative 3) if they've been with the company for more than 5 or so years. If 10 years - nuff said.
This includes the STPs - knock it down CL negative 5.

I'm not saying anybody couldn't shine the resume and talk the talk.
But walking the walk will give it away.
Hobbled, chained, achilles heel level damage.

Thanks for the data!

Pretty cool site. Thanks. Would be great if everyone in this forum would upload their last paystub to it.

levels.fyi also self selects high earners who want to share their salaries, it's a good tool but should be taken with a huge grain of salt

Levels.fyi is great. Tip: Don’t look at the big tech developer salaries in other cities unless you really want to feel bad.
