Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Find yourself a better career

US Bank employee: you have a much better chance to be happy if you stop begging for your bonus being windled at your face. Do you enjoy depending on it to make ends meet? Too much sacrifice for a few $$ and having to pray for it not to be cancelled, despite $billions$ made every quarter and despite AC making $20MM a year. US bank is ripping your brains apart. Stand up and find yourself a better career. Don't wait until they get acquired by Goldman S and your position ends up slashed. US bank is destined to tumble down. You have been warned.

An on point post from @1pbr+19db2d4s.

"you will get an offer from hundreds of financial institutions " - who, Wells Fargo? Bank of Mellon? They are more active on this layoff site. Are you talking about fintech startups? They layoff employees every year just to keep the remaining employees on their toes for fun. You seem like an embittered troll more than someone who really has an existing relevant stake right now.

"During an economic downturn"?? Let me read the FY results (from the US Bank website):
Full year record net revenue of $22,986 million and diluted earnings per common share of $4.16
My goodness. What an economic downturn.

To the guy who wrote "shows embitterment": you show the typical fear of acting from not understanding the job market. Unless US Bank is on the horse carriage industry, you will get an offer from hundreds of financial institutions WHO CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. Giving people hope and a chance to grow outside the toxic, poisoned environment of US Bank is a responsibility. You can stay there and try to remain by licking a VPs rear, but most likely they are also already tired of you.

Telling someone to quit their job while we in an economic downturn and pandemic shows embitterment to the company more than you care about the person you are appealing to. No one quitting their job because of your feelings about the company so quit this silly repeating diatribe of yours...

Well put. Unless you are a financial advisor who's book is established and can take it with you, find a new career. Retail banking is finished so if you have 20-30 years more of working, make the change.
