Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Another losing year

Ford lost $1.2 BILLION on revenue of $127 billion (down from $160 billion in 2018 and $143 billion in 2019.
The loss would be worse, but there was $4.9 BILLION in "other revenue." The "Smart Mobility" group is responsible for losing almost $1 BILLION again last year.

And goodbye, Zotye, you couldn't possibly have lost so much money without Ford.

Well, if one 100 year old dilapidated train station in a wonderful, world class city isn't good enough to make an AUTOMOTIVE company profitable, then maybe 10 dilapidated train stations in multiple areas of the 3rd World would be even better. I hope Bill and Jim are working on those plans right now!

And while they are at it, if they would just start focusing much, much more on what matters like a little more Diversity, Inclusion, Minority Hiring, Climate Change, and retraining their workforce on inequality, profits would soar!! At least hire a woman CEO who can be a cheerleader for EV products! She can come out with a slogan that Ford will be completely EV by 2030! That will show GM.

Ford lost $1.3 billion in 2020, but General Motors, with the same pandemic and all, earned $6 billion. What excuse does Ford have that Mary Barra couldn't use?
