Thread regarding Ascension Health layoffs

Super Bowl ad more important than staff?

How can Ascension justify spending $5.5 million on a 30-second Super Bowl ad when they only have facilities in 18 states and they continue to outsource staff to cut costs?

I was outsourced after 15 years in IT. The guys I know that are left are being ki---d taking up the slack that India (HCL) can’t keep up with

They don’t care about their patients or employees when they outsource most of their IT jobs to India.

Ascension pays ridiculous amounts to their corporate leaders but have low pay and horrible staffing ratios based on statistics that don’t take into account acuity. The Catholic hospitals they bought up have gone from compassionate, excellent care facilities to penny pinching he-l holes

They are a Christian organization that has lost its way. Ascension values are out the window...

While I was one of the effected employees by the outsourcing to HCL, that commercial was most likely only shown in media markets that have Ascension facilities.

They spend a fortune on advertisements and the people at the top are making a fortune but sent the jobs to a Hindu firm in India. They aren’t a Catholic organization any more. Nor are they non profit
