Can we rally? The attrition is starting. We're losing really talented people. WHY? Because Nike doesn't believe in internal promotions or growth. There is no career path. You are stuck in a stagnant role for years without the opportunity to get promoted or stretch. The leaders give you promising pep talks and guidance year after year, but it never happens. They hire outsiders before any of us are considered for the roles. We're allowed to apply, but it's unlikely we'll get the opportunity. WHY? The excuse? HR and Finance told us No.
We should be promoting internal versus external. The excuse again? That's what HR and Finance are telling us what we are allowed to do at this time. Hang in there a year and there will be more opportunities. I've heard this every year in my five years and have been shut down every time due to HR and Finance changes. Who runs this company and hiring? Why should HR or Finance have anything to do with this power over internal promotions? Why has this been allowed to go on so long? Who owns us? Tech or HR or Finance? This has been going on for years. Once the word gets out, you won't be able to attract any talent. Keep promising the lies during the interview, but in the long run, you're burning your credibility.
Nike, you s— and don't care about your employees. You just want to burn and churn. You're losing really amazing talent. Is there a hot line to complain? Ha Ha, just joking, as we all know it will be monitored and not anonymous. On that note, your surveys are complete b—s—. OH'S! And your All Hands, really? We are so tired of hearing you preach about your glorious wealth, famous friends, and videos. THAT'S not transparency.
On a side note, there have been employees that have raised to the rank of VP from custodial, admin etc., and I think that should be noted, admired and should be a continued value for Nike. Degrees don't necessarily mean anything. WE should continue this tradition.
