cloud engineering is a mess group with no clear direction and processes in place. There is a re-org everyday and i think VK and MH are under the pressure to show revenue which is not happening. There hasnt been a successful project that has gone live end-2-end with this group. I think in few quarters higher heads will be rolling...

VK is soon going to be on a chopping block. clearly he has no prior management experience he is being used as a scape goat if anything goes wrong.
VK's "commander in creep" (DB-C) is doing everything to ensure the work environment is ripe with toxicity... just to add yet another layer of confusion and misdirection for a chaotic situation being faced by all. So much for embodying all those 'core values' touted as being essential for uplifting the organization culture, another classic 'lip service' to the workers.
Escaped or pushed?
What did he know?
For those who say this forum is BS, you can confirm the news about Mr. Fox on LinkedIn.
Cloud Engineering Management is scrambling for a last pitch for Q3 numbers by RIF this week. CE came to dead halt with no sales and exexutions.
Chris Fox, one of the best, just departed for AWS...
The beauty of this multi million dollar investment is that the Engineer can carry it with them whenever they leave! Even if they stay, 18 months later, after the expirations, Oracle can pay all over for a new round of certifications!
We should recognize the amazing investment Oracle has made in certifications. Not only do you have to account the actual cost to administer the exams, you have to think of 1500 employees, each doing seven certification. Each test might require, conservatively 24 hours (except that many study on their own time), at whatever the hourly rate of the rep
This investment must run into millions of dollars!
What every enterprise customer wants, a no-op Microservice API that maybe works, as long as we can pay for support it must be good.
VKs push for certs is the last gasp of someone who will be out at the end of the FY – LJE, SC, etc. and shareholders don't get $$ because CE's got certified, it takes sales and consumption.
Certifications.
I wonder if, instead of threatening with cuts for not aquiring, if they had accelerated bonuses tied to the number of certain achieved. Would they have a higher percentage completed.
Hard to believe when MH gives such awesome advice like- 'two new workloads per customer per quarter'. I can see why he makes the big bucks. He's so smarty makes it look like we are turning profits when really he's just cutting expenses everywhere. I wonder what kinds of cuts he's taken?
Don’t ask customers what they want. Just build a widget and sell Mortimer sell.
JW left today after 15 years.
Everyone is hard pressed, and worried.
just go back to the DOA / NPA programs. HAHA

All certified and nothing to do
All the hype was that OCI was finally enterprise grade - and that Zoom using OCI was the proof point.
What happened?
Well, they will all be certified!
No great loss. Most of Oracle's cloud offerings are no-op services build by no-op, know-nothing product teams.
