Last I heard, Walgreens owned at least 26-30 % of AmerisourceBergen.
Is it possible that this is a strategic sale in and they are positioning themselves to see a significant increase in revenue for the stockholders and then turnaround to buy AmerisourceBergen? Bad opiod press for AmerisourceBergen and Walgreens swoops in to save the day and reputation with a purchase?
