Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Deceptive Corporate Stategy

The numbers in the Deault world have stunned to an astounding low point. Due to COVID regulations, foreclosures are at a standstill. Who knows how much longer the moratorium w will continue?

Chase has a plan: move the employees in Default to Originations. Horrendous, inefficient and deplorable management decision , made at the highest corporate level.

Not all skills are transferable, Mr. Jamie Dimon. DO NOT PUT PEOPLE IN PODITIONS FOR WHICH THRY SRR ILL-EQUIPPED. Mr. Dimon, please take an active role in this despicable idea to move employees around. If the plan is to terminate people who are not able to adjust to the new function then, guess what, Chade saved a ton of money in terminate s a severance package. Shame on you , Jamie. Give people the choice to accept a severance package. DO MOT MOBE THEN TO A POSITION FOR WHICH THRY STE INCAPABLE. Please do the right thing.

Chase loves to repurpose people to meet whatever the immediate need is. I’ve been thru it many times in my time. Then when the work slows, they will cull the lower ranking staff that can’t compete or produce or those who are over compensated. Most of this has been outsourced to Manila hasn’t it????. What do they need default staff for? Do you know yet? Mortgage originations is completely different than default - be prepared to be stressed to the max- the training stunk as did the system. I’ve done both there - do your best, bide your time until they move you back or reduce staff. Glad I left for a greener pasture.

That's a typical type of psychological treatment that upper and senior management will attempt to do in an effort to shuffle out employees. Instead of directly firing the employee, they will attempt to make your life miserable and rotate your job function to something that isn't what you had originally signed up for so you will fire yourself.

Embrace the change and do the minimum - you're on the target list to be "managed out".

Interesting, this does make more sense from a budget perspective. But mass firings aren/t sound. Probably cheaper to shake people out than pay. So far experiencing that on my own. I would rather take a payout too.
