Close to a dozen machinist and a few electricians were called back late last year even at the height of the pandemic because there was not enough manpower to keep up with the workload. We're slow and still barely enough manpower, so please, stop the bullsh*t. It's only gonna get busier here and we're already seeing it. WC is gonna be a Mega Yard and location is key and makes sense. BNSF just purchased land right next to us and has been developing it because of the same reason. Haters gonna hate though. We're just lucky and are thankful for it. Many weren't so lucky and I feel for them.

It happened just like that in Proviso. Put out some resumes now.

There probably is some truth to this. Whether the employees at West Colton believe it or not. Don’t believe your area will not be changed or eliminated. No place a d nobody in the company is safe from future changes.

It’s in all caps so it must be true. You obviously don’t work in Colton. Probably overheard a conversation, misconstrued it and went running to your computer with the sticky keys. Sanitize your keyboard Super Spreader!

Nobody is safe anywhere. The West Colton employees should have resumes out and be looking for other opportunities. This is pretty much the same for every location. Don’t be one of the people who think it won’t happen to them....be prepared and have a backup plan.

@dfu So you think you are safe. So did the Carmen in Fort Worth & Pine Bluff. So did Jenks Shop. Keep drinking the kool-aid. I hope you have plan 'B'. You'll be punting real soon.

You dont really believe that do you? Hide & watch. You'll see your share of mechanical leaving the property never to return.

Not true, actually West Colton is being groomed for the very first Mega Yard in the UP system. All Carmen are safe from layoffs, and so is transportation and mechanical. PSR CANT TOUCH THIS!!!
