Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

The latest Oracle ploy to reduce numbers - downgrading position levels and salaries.

Per the title of this thread you should get the gist of this next effort from Oracle to RIF without RIF-fing. Oracle is so frigging cheap they are doing everything they can to come up with ways to get rid of staff without any form of severance payout.

Across various departments, Oracle is new low paid and low skilled staff taking away ownership of what amounts to statistical credits which are being used by HR to attempt justifying downgrading your position level and salary. It's quite a devious plan and a form of constructive dismissal in the way they are "encouraging" longer term staff to leave under their own accord, albeit out of extreme dissatisfaction with the company.

Sadly, Oracle is content to fill it's seats with inept low skilled bench warmers while its product set and support has become the laughing stock of the IT industry. Thank you foreign workers for your efforts in undermining what was once a great company.

Who do you think is hiring offshore employees? Blame Oracle management, not the people they are hiring.

Don't thank foreign workers - wtf was LE? WTF was he doing when he hired MH? What about all that s*** he told us about how the cloud was lame and just a fad. Then touted his tennis buddy and how great the stock was doing moving 1% here 3% there while he was ripping the guts out of the Oracle engine to save money. And now MH2 is here trying to sc-ape down whatever is left so maybe he can get a few years of those big bonuses before it's all over.

If promoted/supported among the top leadership, certification can be a good thing. BUT, you need a critical mass of customers, VARs, etc to also be certified, with all the relevant badges and c-ap they can use to advertise this.

I keep seeing these View my achievement posts on linked in now for google cloud, AWS, kubernetes, etc. The OCI ones I see are always O ees.

Certification is a great method to convince people with more than 10-12 years experience to leave, and you don’t get in trouble for age discrimination.

Try to remember: this is all good for shareholder value.

They've also been offering some IC5's promotions to management roles, with a lower base salary.

I heard HR will realign the package of anyone in US who decides to WFM full time going forward. So if you move to a different area they will adjust your salary accordingly.

In some countries, this can be construed as constructive dismissal ... and subject to severance!

AT&T is doing the same, and taking away benefits AND pensions. So you have that going for you.

Yeah, but the good news is the high job satisfaction derived from working at Oracle.
