I was harassed regarding my religion by an employee who later harassed me for a second and third time. Third time I went to my supervisor and manager and told them about the prior incidents and it needs to stop. Later, I was working a project and had two employees harass me regarding my skin color and political beliefs which I notified my supervisor and said it needs to stop. Not too long after I was laid off while they're all still there. Anyone else have a similar experience? I'm thinking about going to the EEOC to file a complaint. I'm sure nothing will happen but if others have experienced similar incidents and were retaliated against, maybe the federal gvt will care and do something. Strength in numbers.

The EEOC is the better place to copy on that e-mail... they have the teeth to bite!
Send an e-mail to your compliance officer, copy the HR Manager at your location and from the corporate office, your direct manager or supervisor...
AND THE ACLU.
"I've had discussions with former HR Managers that could not cite specifics on basic labor laws or understood even why they existed. It's a department that hires and promotes stupidity. It's an easy job for those who think they are smarter than they really are. "
I could never get five minutes of time with HR and it's because they just don't want to bother with thinking.
You have to understand that anyone employed in a Human Resources department works for the best interest of the company. Pure and simple.
They go to a few seminars to learn the latest and greatest overview of a few new laws or procedures, and they rarely understand them anyhow.

Don't ever divulge anything to HR. Let them know you are taking your concerns to the Labor Relations Board and watch their jaws hit the floor.
Yes. It happened to me too. I have been there long enough to survive it. HR didn't do anything about it. Our HR is terrible.
You won't get any assistance from HR. Take this concern if it is valid to a state or federal agency.
This happens everywhere, the government does not care as much as they'd like the world to think but good luck. Let us know how it pans out.
