Sounds similar to the “Good ‘Ol Boy Network” that’s been used to keep minorities out of positions. S—s being on the other side.

Anger is directed to the wrong place. This is corporate greed (1%) not culture. Anthem is behaving no different than any other large company in 2021.

1) we have had monthly rifs since at least october. everyone should cast a wary eye to the last thursday of each month - that's rif day. there hasn't been a month in the last five wherein people weren't handed their walking papers that last thursday, including the most recent two days ago. i'm sure april will bring more, and may, and june. they are going to rif each month this year, bet.

2) re offered lesser titles and pay, yes. these are usually offered when they want to RIF the employee; some take it (to their chagrin) - most don't.

3) wide swaths of the company are about to be replaced with legato. the rifs thus far will look like child's play once legato is in place.

@2zua+1a2qOe5D, what does anything you said have to do with the fact that pretending to be from Hyderabad or Bangalore most likely would prevent you from getting RIFed in the f–ked up culture of Anthem IT that values who you know over basic competence? Try looking at an org chart before you respond, there's clearly a friends-and-family program in place and the beneficiaries don't need your help or protection. You're nothing to them but a useful rube and soon you'll be disposed of with the rest of us.

@1yut+1a2qOe5D - I come out to this forum posting about the corporate greed, which is really the issue here. Rich has always pitted races and classes against each other so the can continue to steal.

Then I read disgusting posts like this and think - you know what maybe some weeds need pulled.

I figure if I go into PeopleSoft and update my home address to be Hyderabad, India, that'll preserve my job for a few years before anyone catches on. Heck, I might even get a promotion out of it. The toughest part will be making sure that my written English is incomprehensible.

@OP+1a2qOe5D I always lightweight joke about expecting to come into work to a new policy that we have to pay them to work there in lieu of getting a paycheck.
But honestly they way they operate it would’ve be surprising.
