Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Lost passion

I have always dreamed of doing the job I do. When I got my dream job in this company, without any great previous experience, I was thrilled. At the time, I didn’t pay much attention to minor details that could be better in this company because I was only interested in my job. Lately however, because of the toxic atmosphere here, at Mondelez, I’ve been so depressed that I’m starting to hate both this company and the job that fulfills me. Are there any other people for whom Mondelez has made their job disgusting?

I hate working here. People ask me why I don't leave. I don't feel I can leave at this stage of the game.

I grew up poor, I worked hard to get my job here at a time where the jobs were coveted, and hard to get, and landing one of these jobs was a great accomplishment.

I don't have a degree, I'm older, and I thought this would be my forever job.

I don't want to start over somewhere else, and try and work my way back up at this age.

I've been treated worse the older I have become.

This company is really against their older workers, even if they do their job well.

I'm not quite sure why they hate on the older workers so much? Even after working here for years, my salary s—s due to all the sh–ty raises I've received over the years, even though I've excelled. You know, you would have received better than a "met expectations", but you didn't say yes ma'am, on a Tuesday, at 3 o'clock, when it was raining, during a parade!

Okay, biased a–holes!

I worked really hard to get promoted from a part time merchandiser, to full time, to sales relief, then to sales rep.

I've been a hard working, dedicated employee for Mondelez.

Every year I've worked here, I've been treated worse and worse.

This brings me to today where I actually still like my job, but hate the company. Please absorb that when I say I hate the company, the company is a group of people, and I despise these people.

That group specifically is the local management which allows all the abuses, the incompetencies, the favoritism, and the nepotism to continue.

I suppose my options are to stay and put up with absolutely horrific treatment from this group of managers, and there is many here, a clique, or I can leave the company, and start over basically, with a new company that appreciates all my experience, skill set, and dedication to my job.

F— you Mondelez!!!

Sorry you feel that way. Companies change. If you think its going to be like the good old days your going to be disappointed.

There are better companies out there worth your time. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll be happier in a new role.
