This shouldn't even be legal! How is it okay to basically bump your long term employees down to a position with lower pay while simultaneously adding more work to their plate? How is it okay to demote so many people when you know that the new structure is not sustainable and many will probably end up doing most of the same work they used to do just for lower pay? What was done here is a travesty. Shame on this management!

Go on LOA that way if they do try to get you laid off you can sue
The way they treat their employees is honestly disgusting. I was a Produce Supervisor in my club. Now, I've been demoted to just a clerk. It was either take that or lose my job. We work hard to earn our place, then they just spit on us and rip away all of it. They barely gave us any notice too.
I know restructuring is part of business and is to be expected but the way they about it was terrible. On top of that, as many people here have already said, the higher ups make so many decisions that make doing our jobs so much more inconvenient and stressful.
Absolute horrible company, this restructure is not going to work AT ALL. They have gutted leadership and now expect the lucky ones who stayed to do all the MOD work for far less money. BJ's can burn for all I care...which is a shame, I used to love it here.
Bjs wholesale club does not care for their employees. The wages are horrendous the management is terrible. They don't ever answer the phone whether you are a customer, worker,or even home office. They have pretty much done away with any recognition programs that they had. They always try to screw you on your pay. They tell you to work through lunch but then you never get paid. You are a nobody when you work here
After being hailed as essential employees, leaving families at home, putting one’s self and your entire family at risk of Covid-19 only to be treated this way is appalling. Big business sync has BJs does not care about it’s employees only the almighty dollar and their bottom line.
It is the American Way. All companies exist for ONE purpose... to make money for a small, elite, specific group of people. How they accomplish this purpose is quite open-ended. Get used to the fact that you do not matter. Your contentment and success are irrelevant to the corporate goals. You are merely a temporary, insignificant cog in the giant wheel.
