I got my notice today. I have been riffed. I was thinking about it as I was being informed and had to prevent myself from laughing. I was offered work at another company last night and was going to put in m notice on Monday. Now I get the RIF package and get to work somewhere else with no loss of income.
Looking outside is always good to determine if what you are getting is your true worth. Will it be better where I am going? I don't know but would not know if I didn't try.
For those of you still here, I wish you luck in whatever path life may take you. I have enjoyed my ride but it was more of a roller coaster than a mountain climb.

Awesome. Hopefully you maxed out your severance with years of service. My friend took his VSP and invested a lot of it in VZ stock. He thinks it is funny Verizon is paying him quarterly dividends with their own money.
That's messed up to do it on April fools though. Did you think they were joking?
