Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Our store is currently doing more with less. We have less staff and MORE customer complaints. We have less merchandise and MORE customers leaving without finding what they are looking for. We have less Store Managers (we lost ours and now share one with another store) and MORE associates hiding in stockrooms and managers hanging out in the office. We have less AP and MORE shoplifters. We have less stores, less people, less opportunity and MORE reasons to look for another place to work.

The real corporate America motto: do the bare minimum, why would anyone want to promote you if you are great at your job and could put the Job of the person promoting you at risk. Don’t work hard.. work smart.

My old store manager said that once, ironically enough that store closed about 5 months later

The exodus of good support people has begun with this new program. How long till good managers are next. I’ve been doing this a long time for Macys and I’m waiting for the next shoe to drop. The company is in trouble with what is going on. The Central Jersey stores can’t compete. Low wages , low morale and no light at the end of the tunnel.

its a ploy to run everyone who is long term into the ground so you quit and they dont have to pay you severance . macys does not care about you or your sales or how many cards you open they only care about how much you cost .

Macy's has been expecting more from less for too long now. They can only get less from less.
