Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Big hiring event 5/4 in my area

Went in Lowe’s to shop around needed help had to wait over an hr for help. No one knew what they were doing. Sad they will keep hiring and people will keep quiting one new hire for every 2-3 who quit. Must be the workload and the horrible scheduling. Along with the unfair wages people employed getting less than people walking in the door. People who work their get raises if you kiss the right behind. Place is a 3 ring circus to work at. Sad! Use to be a good job!

Until they address turnover and lack of HR involvement in solving turnover, this gerbil wheel will keep going. Cannot keep the pace of hiring like this without training and development. I am not even sure what our AreaHR even does for our district. The SSA's handle everything in store, MyHR and AR at corporate and now we have a TA team. What is the point of the HR team if they are not addressing any issues, have no direct reports? Seems like a waste of payroll.

We hired 17 people on May 4. I'm guessing by June 1 most will quit.

It's funny because I get asked at least 10 times a day when they asked if I work in the department do you really know or do you just work here if I tell them I just work in the department they leave
