I wouldn't be surprised if the raises are either cancelled or a fraction of a percent--just so they can award bigger bonuses...

There is a good chance they will get cancelled and not happen this year. Slattery is new and not familiar with how the Crotonville trained managers operate. Most likely, a few EB and SEBs have been hiding additional financial disasters during the pandemic. When the market recovers enough that it it looks like the business can one again absorb a hit, they will reveal the financial problems Then employee compensation and benefits will be raided once again to come up with the money. Same pattern has happened for decades.

I think people complain because changing jobs is not easy if you have a family and need to stay close. Also, companies like GE are not market based. They are a government and central bank jobs program. If GE had to survive without our tax dollars it would be a different story. We do not live in a free market based society any longer and so the inequality in pay seems harder to justify.

If market based wage guys don't like their pay....They aren't held hostage so you are free to quit and find another job. Why complain about it and stay there?

SPB's already got their bonuses 2 years in a row even after not reaching their goals. They should be exempt from raises this year but you know they will get more than the rest. Good old boy network as usual.

Some people at all positions area overpaid and some are way underpaid. That's life. I am salary and underpaid personally. Its funny but it seems that the higher the position, the less work you get out of them.

I love how they say they are going to "start the salary planning process". How much overhead will he spent to eventually decide that we are getting a stupid 2% EOP? Certainly not keeping up with the cost of living and this insane inflation nobody wants to admit to.

Maybe 2 percent or so for salary people. They haven't had an increase in a while.

Lmao raises for who? Not the employees..especially the market based wage guys..I don't see how GE thinks it's OK to have such a huge wage gap between employees that do same exact job.
