Thread regarding Dunkin layoffs

Second wave of layoffs …

Expect second wave to start in June with the target date of end of Aug.

I loved Scott tear up and tell us that they did not congratulate on the promotions. Why don’t you cut us losers first and the celebrate your treason victory! What a sad show … and by the way the dog is gone because we fired the owner!

They do seem to use alot of contractors or "consultants" vs. FTE's

The new trend is to fire FTE in Canton and onboard contractors or FTE’s assigned by Inspire

I either see a LinkedIn connection announce a new job or I get an email from someone letting me know a Friday is their last day. It's so incredibly sad.

I don’t think anyone knows. I wish we did. I’ve heard that more people are leaving voluntarily.

Are people going to be let go starting in June or is that just when they begin reviewing other departments again?

It gets even better

New STI plan -based on performance accross all brands. How about no changes in 2021?

Now we are all in the same pool, sheep and wolves. I cannot wait to see next round of reviews. Every mark down means more money for the managers. Go wild!

I don’t think anyone is necessarily berating Scott. People are upset. A lot of us have been loyal to this brand for years, and we have families to support. I completely understand the sentiments toward upper management. They knew all along that this would happen, and it’s upsetting how sneaky they are being. It’s obvious people are being driven out. They’ve all been paid handsomely and really don’t give a sh-t about you or I.
I don’t know of anyone who’s “safe” but I’m interested to know if anyone’s been told so.

Let me say right off that I am SADDENED (to say the least) by this whole thing. And on top of that, I share concerns that so many others have of what to expect in 2022 (assuming we're still here). The beloved Dunkin' culture is fading right before our eyes.

But, why are some so fixated on berating Scott, et al? They didn't sell the company. And are people not paying attention to these town halls? I do believe they are sincere and are answering our questions as best they can. If you want to be angry, that's cool (aren't we all to assume degree?). But c'mon, they should not be the targets.

And yes, I did notice that the "rest of the organization" was referenced. That makes me think that EVERY remaining dept is going to be looked at. Has anyone been told they're "safe"?

I was sick to my stomach watching that meeting. When asked what departments would be next for reorganization I believe the reply was something along the lines of “the rest of the company”. With the exception of finance which is being pushed to 2022. Oh, lovely! Thanks Scott and Stephanie! Pathetic. The next group will be given 60 days notice and folks will receive 2 weeks paid per year of service plus “transition services”. What did everyone else think?
