Henry Ford a great man.
He was a mechanical genius, and inventor.

I'm in no way against electronics in general. I have a smartphone, home computer, etc. The auto companies have been over-doing it for years now and just keep adding more gadgets and gimmicks that need these microchips to operate. All these "bells & whistles" add to the price of the vehicle and translates into bigger profits for the company and it's stockholders. Do you really need a car that has the technology to park itself or turn on your wipers when it starts to rain? In reality, people welcome and embrace these innovations and regularly take out 84 and 96 month loans to finance these purchases. All the automakers (not only Ford) will take a financial hit on this. It might take a while, but this shortage will pass.

Where I live, the big Ford dealer is down to 8 F-Series trucks in stock, he usually has 20-30 at least.
