Whoever says something negative about the company gets downvoted into oblivion and don't even get me started on the comments. Why would people be so against calling out the company on legitimate issues? It's not as if somebody is attacking you or some small business you built up over the years. It's a corporation that doesn't care about you other than to squeeze as much as it can from you for as little money as it can. So why do you get so emotionally invested in it that you feel the need to defend it against any criticism?

I can't show up yet until a full boat of bare arses is allowed back in the bathrooms all at once. I want to see 4 pairs of shoes, including mine, lined up in the stalls, all pointing the same direction and I want to smell the foul pungent odor of tu-d wafting like a green cloud and hanging thick in the room. Only then will I feel good about returning back to the office.
I can't show up at work just yet because my sheer presence in the elevator would limit it to me and one other person.
Folks, this might be the unspoken reason why many are hesitant to go back. I'm having to face the harsh reality of the choices I made to deal with the Covid isolation, and am struggling to reverse these self destructive habits.
I for one, support having pop corns all the time and also get rid of DP, he is just not good for HES.
I for one agree that we need to start showing up at the office and get back to normal. That's just how business works and how it is done, kids. Sorry if you are having a hard time accepting that and like to stay home where you can play video games and things.

It's a decent company worth working for that is why. I've had good TLs and bad TLs and know that will always be a reality if humans are involved. Things are getting a bit woke for me and rest assured I won't be participating in any HR-mandated activity that makes me love (or hate) the skin color God gave me and forces others to celebrate it. Nothing would p*ss me off more than finding out that the only reason someone is engaging with me is because they need to check a box on their Diversity plan. I'm also sick of being targeted for interests just because my lastname ends with an "ez".
There’s a lot of vote manipulation that happens on this site. I’m pretty sure there are some henchmen that downvote any post that is in favor of working remotely.
The way to manipulate votes is to open a private tab and vote. Close tab. Repeat. You can change the up/down landscape of an entire post and comment section in a few minutes. This also works when you’re voting for comments in PollEV.

Nobody votes but the Popcorn loser, who sits all day casting dozens of votes. He no doubt started this topic out of frustration when he lost the COVID debate.
If you think "Woke Stuff" is fake news at Chevron, you must not be a Chevron employee. Chevron clearly eliminated white males that were doing great jobs to open positions for females. I was on one of the selections groups. It was shameful what we did in those meetings. Shameful. That is not fake news.
I don't think anyone really minds seeing "legitimate issues" being brought up. It's the fake issues, woke stuff, all the BS and everything else that pops up on this site as well as basic useless gossip that are just people not minding their own business on issues that don't affect them whatsoever, they just don't have a life. On top of that, a huge amount of the people trolling and posting here are not even laid off and they have a job, just obviously no life of any kind, no social media group that welcomes them or anything else. So they are literally asking for negative responses.
@wrf, You can't be that ignorant to believe what you posted and still have gotten a job with Chevron at one time before you got laid off, which is why you are at this site, I assume. This site is heavily moderated and all comments like you mentioned are deleted fairly quickly, all you have to do is try it. Challenge me on it, go ahead, tough guy!
In all reality the only couple things that the company cares about is the dividend and making sure the executives do well. It why in all the town halls they keep praising raising the dividend right after laying off many people. They are out of touch and just don't care. I doubt the families off all those laid off are estatic that they raised the dividend 4 percent while they struggle.
That is because CVX has internal people watching this site. They write crazy comments, use profanity, downvote, harass the OP and try to get the kicked off. It is the Chevron Way.
It is exactly the same way internally with Chevron. Did you not take part in the last reorg?
Do as CVX says, if you push back or ask questions, you get eliminated. Just look at what DP did in HSE.
