Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Brain drain

Centene is currently experiencing a major brain drain. There is an exodus of seasoned and most experienced employees, while the most useless people (especially in management) are staying behind. This is bound to end badly for the company if some steps to reverse the trend are not taken immediately. I'm just not sure there's anybody left who cares enough to do something about it.

Rumor has it Centene is trying to sell itself to a bigger entity (similar to Aetna being owned now by CVS).

The goal of Centene's leadership is to sell itself off to a bigger company.

They aren't worried about making a long term plan to run the company well, they're just trying to cut costs anyway they can to make the short term financials look attractive enough to find a buyer.

I totally agree. Leadership is clueless on how to handle the projects nor manage the teams. The most experienced and knowledgeable individual are leaving as there is no appreciation nor acknowledgement for the work. The inexperienced leaders are just trying to cover up for themselves and are worried about their jobs and do not even value the hardworking individuals.

During this last layoff they really screwed up. They didn't shed the people who were low on the food chain in regard to knowledge and experience. They mostly went the route of greed and ignorance, letting a person's pay and / or age dictate, in addition to the inept "leaders" chiming in. They fully deserve what they get. There was not one person in a "leadership" role remaining in my former department that could figure their way out of an open paper bag, much less do the jobs they are getting paid to do.
