Thread regarding McDermott International Inc. layoffs

New Projects

It's really disappointing that the company does not disclose the amount of $$$ for awards. Seems to be happening since 2020 and COVID.

I see MDR has gotten a couple of FEED contracts and another contract recently. Does anyone know the $$$ amount? I can't find it anywhere and would really like to know. The MX Gulf project runs until 2025, so does that mean it is somewhat large in scale?

Thank you

The feed contracts for these type scopes are generally far less 20 MUSD. And at very low margin. It doesn’t move the needle.

I agree with the first response - FEED work is generally not that expensive. Just some man-hours being sold by McDermott for project planning. Believe me, if these contracts were a big deal, you would know that they were a big deal. McDermott is in big trouble and these little projects won't help much - basically McDermott is about to disappear beyond the "event horizon".

The contracts are each less than $50 million, and will not add to their current overhead. So nothing to get excited about.
