Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Will there be a list of those taking the VBO?

Does anyone know if they will internally list the names of the people taking it like they did last time? Last VBO they had a board where you could see the names and wish people luck before they left. With everyone being remote it is difficult to find out who is taking it and when they will be leaving.

@NED There is going to be a list posted. It is going to be posted internally on 6/8 with what looks to be those with a VBO date of 6/30 and 9/30. They are calling it Kudoboard.

There will never be a published list. I am taking the VBO but honestly I do not want any kind of sendoff. Just my opinion but I believe the company did a poor job on the overall timing. Allowing people to wait until June 3rd to formally respond and then having the vast majority of VBO participants be gone on June 30th is a recipe for CHAOS. Half my Team is taking the VBO as well as our boss. NOBODY has had any discussions on succession or transition. AND senior management expects that those left behind will still be able to hit all out KPI's by end of performance year (Sept 30th). This will NEVER happen. So I feel bad for my colleagues left behind. Thus I want to slide out quietly :-)

You know, you can change the homepage on the browser - I did that years ago. 'Cause I hear you - the constant circle jerk is tiring to see. The worst is "whose on the move" - it's the same people shuffling the deck chairs. Activity - often mistaken for Strategy at Fidelity.

I hear you and understand why you are ready but good luck and thanks for the years.

Personally, I'm taking the VBO, but I don't want a tribute wall. That gesture seems kind of trite. I've already mentally left. I can't wait to turn in my laptop and not have to view the daily feed of "how great the company is," on the intranet.

Last time I believed they had that website for service anniversaries opened for people who were taking the VBO so that people could sign it.

Anyone that I know that is taking it has started to send around farewell emails. I don't remember there being any list available last time they offered it.
