You obviously care if you are on this page.
Who cares?
I have not heard any rumors regarding layoffs and neither have any coworkers and managers I asked. How reliable is this information/rumor ? Does it involve legacy RTN this time since last round was legacy UTC due to the pandemic.
If they run out of older folks to "offer early retirement", I hope they would start offering some kind of a LUMP SUM option on the pensions of the next tier of folks (slightly younger, have pensions, but no lump sum option).
I have not heard any rumors. Could be people just gossiping to spread false information. I doubt it will he kept quiet if there will be that many people involved. If true I hope managers get it too. Perhaps they can offer early retirement to the older workers who are just hanging around till age 67 to collect ss.
Where are the rumors coming from? This isn’t a journalist site, people are going to tell you the specific person that told them. This is for anonymous information to be posted. I am a floor level worker and I have heard that stuff was going to get sideways for us in Q3. It depends who YOU talk to and who the people you talk to also talk to. There can only be so many Layoffs at Pratt and Collins. Eventually there won’t be anyone else to layoff. They will have bare bones crews. When that happens, which I believe is not far off considering the amount they laid off last year, legacy Raytheon will be the target. Everything that can be done to keep the shareholders content will be done. You can bet there will be major events around August-November. Many of us legacy Raytheon guys could very well be looking for nee job around Christmas. Keep your ears open and try to read between the lines.
Where is the info/rumor regarding these layoffs. Is legacy Raytheon included now. Before it was the majority of legacy UTC.
Legacy Raytheon is NOT safe.
Collins and PW again? Legacy Rtn is always safe.
