i was talking to my manager in west colton today and he thinks the layoffs are over for good because the company is done. im really happy about this and i guess it is true we really are a big UP family. does anyone agree or disagree

The last ditch effort by the high brass in Omaha is to offer stock options to employees , why? PSR has no more meat $$$ to pick off the bone , so where do you find more MEAT? Employees paychecks, offer over valued stock that will take years to mature or never mature due to terrible strategy with business and maintenance practices! The only people that benefit from this are the share holders! Employees beware!
Ok mistake number one is that you talked to a manager. Mistake number two is letting that manager tell you "he thinks" the layoffs are over. When has the management been right on anything? If there's going to be more layoffs, you or anyone below the executive level will know NOTHING until it happens. He may be a good manager, or he may not be. I can't tell you, because I don't know who you're talking about. Please stop listening to managers who say they "think" the layoffs are over. The layoffs will continue if the executives believe they can save money somewhere by getting rid of more employees who they deem nonessential to the company.
I got cut over a year ago and each time they cut before that the managers would tell us they are done no more cuts lol. They will cut until they dump stock, cut and run.
No. They will always be another cost cutting project. When autonomous trains come online there will be few employees left in any craft.
They are still furloughing some crafts. We’ve cut too thin. They will have a hard time working out of this ho-e
