Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Let's watch for this

Will the board reprice Stankey's and the BoD's Stock Options?
I still have option papers showing that my 1000's of options have a strike price in the high 50's from the 1990's. Yes, I know. They have expired 30 years ago - but it's a daily reminder of SBC nee AT&T Leadership mismanagement beginning January 1984.
Anyone remember Zane having a blowout and paying Crystal Gayle big dollars to sign at Zane's divestiture party in St. Lou? Us P-e Ons can watch from a closed circuit TV in Po Dunk America.
I wonder how much Zanie paid for the location rental, the food, Booze, security, and Crystal Gayle signing those awful songs while the rest of us had not seen a raise in years and had more years of XERO raises when Ed & Pope decided that we didn't deserve anything.
Justice! Unfortunately, these bad "leadership" decisions hurt the little people like ME.

Yes, I remember when we were given those options. The company and the union had a good laugh about how all the dummy's thought it was so good. I think the strike price was actually somewhere around 43 dollars and I told everyone the stock would never reach that price until after the options had expired. No, not extremely smart, just not as stupid as the company/union think I am.

Is Stankey sorry he gave Jason Kilar complete control of a legendary media company when Kilar had ZERO Hollywood experience? Or is he sorry that he offended Hollywood insiders by telling them "I know more about TV/Media than anyone"?!? Hollywood has the last laugh. I guess Att really thought they were going to cower Warner Brothers and Hollywood!?!? Oh, The arrogance is unreal!

"The personal reaction is I'm a bit sad," Mr. Stankey said in an interview, noting that investors haven't been won over by the company's media strategy. "I'm disappointed that the shift in the market that occurred caused us to have to step back and re-evaluate."

I'm going to use the same lines to my supervisor when I f@#$ up. It's not my fault, the market conditions changed, and I'm kind of sad, but keep paying me anyway.

This all started with SBC - lots of people seem to think Whitaker was some kind of saint, but he's no better than Stephenson or Stank.

Yes, remember it wrell. We were provided stock options as compensation, never saw a dime, all expired with stock never reaching the option price. I knew at the time the options were worthless but had no chioce. Still resentful to this day, totally underhanded!
